Alexey Oleynik will have a rematch with Oli Thompson on December 15 in Yekaterinburg
The promotion company RCC has announced the date of the next fight of the Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Alexei Oleynik. RIA Novosti reports this.
46-year-old Oleinik will have a rematch against 43-year-old Briton Oli Thompson. The fight will take place at the RCC 17 tournament in Yekaterinburg on December 15. The athletes already met in May – then Thompson won by knockout in the first round.
On October 24, 2022, it became known that Oleynik refused to sign an agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). “We don’t fight in the UFC anymore. We didn’t receive the contract we expected,” said the fighter, noting that he will compete in another organization.
Oleinik has competed in the UFC since 2014. In his professional career, he won 60 victories and suffered 17 defeats. Another fight with his participation ended in a draw. Thompson has a record of 20 wins and 15 losses.
