Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik named his main role model in life. His words are quoted by Reuters.
The athlete said that as a child he strived to be like his father. “The first person whose behavior I copied was my late father. He told me that I could achieve my goals,” said the Ukrainian.
Usik has 21 victories in 21 fights. He holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), International Boxing Organization (IBO) and WBA Super heavyweight championship belts.
The athlete must fight with Briton Tyson Fury. The fight was originally scheduled for December 2023, but the British promoter Frank Warren said that the fight with Usyk would be postponed because Fury would not be ready to enter the ring. On October 28, Fury was stronger than former Absolute Fighting Championship champion Francis Ngannou in a fight according to boxing rules.
