Nurmagomedov on Makhachev’s leadership in the ranking of the best UFC fighters: it’s legendary
Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Khabib Nurmagomedov commented on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) Russian Islam Makhachev’s rise to first place in the promotion ranking regardless of weight categories (P4P).
Nurmagomedov assessed Makhachev’s leadership in one phrase. “This is already legendary, brother,” he wrote.
Makhachev topped the ranking of the best fighters earlier on November 7. He displaced the heavyweight belt holder, American Jon Jones, from first place.
On October 21, Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title for the second time. The Russian athlete knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.
In total, the 32-year-old Russian had 26 fights in his career, in which he won 25 victories and was defeated only once.
