Islam Makhachev said that his first car was a Niva
Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Islam Makhachev named the brand of his first car. Match TV reports this.
“I had a Niva. I lived in Khushet (a village in Dagestan – approx. “Tapes ru”) and it didn’t matter what, as long as it wasn’t on foot, because I had to take a minibus with two transfers to the university, to training,” said Makhachev.
The athlete added that his first car cost about 100 thousand rubles. “My brother helped, we somehow raised money and bought it. I was 18-19 years old,” Makhachev noted.
On October 21, Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title for the second time. The Russian knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round. In total, 32-year-old Makhachev had 26 fights in his career, in which he won 25 victories, losing only once.
