Krzysztof Ja¶lar is dead. Zenon Laskowik said goodbye to the co-founder of the Tey cabaret

Information about the death of Krzysztof Jaślar appeared on Zenon Laskowik’s fanpage on the night from Monday to Tuesday. “We regret to inform you that Krzysztof Jaślar, co-founder of Kabaret Tey, songwriter, director, died today,” the black-and-white photo was captioned.

Although Jaślar graduated from the University of Physical Education in Poznań, he connected his professional career with the entertainment industry. After graduation, he received an offer from Zenon Laskowik to found the Tey cabaret. Jaślar was with him for four years, and in 1974 he left because the cabaret was subject to total censorship. In information note No. 16/74 of the Central Office of Press, Publications and Performances Control with guidelines for censors, published by Tomasz Strzyżewski in his book on censorship of those years, one can read: “Due to the political harmfulness of the works of Krzysztof Jaślar (one of authors of the Poznań cabaret Tey) should not be allowed for any publications by this author.

He completed postgraduate studies in journalism with the intention of working as a sports journalist, but in 1977, together with Laskowik, he started creating programs for television. He directed many entertainment programs, Opole festivals and theater performances. In 1992, he published the book “Kabaret Tey 1971–1989 Texts, memories, slander”.

Already at the end of October, Laskowik informed fans that due to Jaślar’s serious illness, the upcoming performances of the Tey cabaret were canceled, and after a few days there was information that the break had been extended until the end of this year.

Krzysztof Jaślar has a son, Filip, a member of the MoCarta Group, and a daughter, Ewelina. Last year with, among others, They celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Tey cabaret with Laskowiak.
