Cristiano Ronaldo saves, and United beat Norwich

Manchester United beat Norwich, this Saturday, by 1-0, in the Premier League. In an irregular match, the team had Cristiano Ronaldo to save and secure the three points.

In a lukewarm start to the game, Manchester United had their first good opportunity in the 14th minute, when the Brazilian Alex Telles took a free-kick, which deflected the barrier and exploded on the crossbar.

Even with the ball, the Red Devils finished little and could not infiltrate the opposing defense. At 36, Cristiano Ronaldo received a deep throw, cut two markers, but ran into goalkeeper Tim Krul.

At the end of the first half, defender Maguire received a cross from Jadon Sancho and headed into the goal. The ball was covering the Dutch goalkeeper, who stretched out and secured the 0-0 in the partial scoreboard.

At the start of the second stage, striker Pukki received a pass, spun on the marker and finished with danger, but De Gea slipped the ball and saved United.

The team led by Ralf Rangnick could not have the ball, nor attack Norwich, who had 70% of the ball.

At 28, Cristiano was grabbed inside the small area and the referee signaled a penalty. The Portuguese charged hard in the left corner and opened the scoring, scoring his 13th goal of the season.

Four minutes later, former Liverpool defender Kabak received a cross and headed in, but De Gea made another great save.

The Red Devils didn’t have control of the game and were pressured by the home team, who nearly tied in a shot by young Billy Gilmour, however, the ball swerved on defender Bailly and scraped the crossbar.

With five minutes to go, Rashford broke free of the mark and played for Cristiano, who had the chance to “kill” the game, but hit over the top.

Even under pressure, Manchester United managed to hold the result. With the victory, the team takes the fifth place in the Premier League.
