Fluminense beat Boca Juniors (1-2) this Saturday in the final of the Copa Libertadores celebrated in the mythical Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), with a great goal by John Kennedy in the 99th minute, the architect of the Brazilian team’s first title.

The ‘Flu’, with former Real Madrid player Marcelo, did not fail at home to proclaim himself champion of America for the first time in a final that began with a goal from veteran Argentine forward Germán Cano. Advíncula tied for Boca in the 72nd minute and the title was played in extra time.

There, a good Brazilian connection and the accurate shot of Kennedy decided the final, although the Fluminense striker was sent off for the second yellow card he saw when celebrating the goal in the stands. From less to more, Boca, without much time in superiority for the red to Fabra, found itself without the longed-for seventh and Fluminense, with the glory.
