Zhulin said that his only fear is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
Honored coach of Russia Alexander Zhulin named his only fear. His words are quoted by Metaratings.
“I’m afraid of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, nothing else. Now we are talking about couples and comparing something, but do you see what is happening in life? We need to do a review in that direction,” Zhulin said in response to a journalist’s question whether he was afraid that two pairs of his students were becoming similar to each other.
On July 25, Zhulin spoke about bribes in figure skating. “There are methods to encourage judges all over the world. And Russian judges, and former socialist countries, CIS countries – they do not fatten. And if you make them a good offer, then such options cannot be ruled out,” the coach said.
Zhulin performed in ice dancing with Maya Usova. The couple won bronze medals at the 1992 Olympics and silver at the 1994 Games. Later Zhulin began training dance couples. His students were Tatyana Navka and Roman Kostomarov, who won gold at the 2006 Olympics, as well as Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov, who received silver awards at the 2022 Games.
