Russian boxer convicted of drugs wins first professional fight

Russian boxer Georgy Kushitashvili fought his first fight in the professional ring. This is reported by “Championship.com”.

The athlete met with Denis Grachev as part of a boxing evening in Yekaterinburg and won the fight. In the fourth round, the fight was stopped by the referee, who recorded the victory of Kushchitashvili by technical knockout.

Kushitashvili was sentenced to a three-year suspended sentence for a drug-related crime. According to the investigation, on February 2, 2020, he and his friend Hovik Hovhannisyan arrived at a house on the Frunzenskaya Embankment in Moscow at night in search of a cocaine bookmark, ten minutes later Rosgvardia officers appeared at the same address.

The footage from the surveillance cameras shows that one of the National Guardsmen has a broken nose. According to law enforcement agencies, he was hit by Kushitashvili. The athlete fully admitted his guilt and compensated the victim.
