UFC champion Islam Makhachev said he would like to have a boxing match
The champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in lightweight weight, Russian Islam Makhachev, announced his desire to hold a boxing match. He told Match TV about this.
“The battle [Фрэнсиса] Ngannou showed what level a fighter can reach by switching to boxing. They say that [Тайсон] Fury was out of shape, but who cares,” said Makhachev, adding that he would be happy to try himself in boxing.
Earlier, Makhachev said that Irishman Conor McGregor does not deserve to fight him. “If he deserves it, comes back, wins a few fights, then why not?” – said the Russian.
On October 21, Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title for the second time. The Russian knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round. In total, 32-year-old Makhachev had 26 fights in his career, in which he won 25 victories, losing only once.
