MMA fighter Islam Makhachev said that Conor McGregor does not deserve to fight him
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Russian Islam Makhachev, answered a question about a fight with Irishman Conor McGregor. He told Match TV about this.
Makhachev said that McGregor does not deserve to fight him. “If he deserves it, comes back, wins a few fights, then why not?” – he added.
Previously, McGregor insulted Makhachev for his dissatisfaction with the UFC rating, regardless of weight categories. “This guy is a dumbass. This is what happens when relatives sleep with each other and give birth to a child,” the Irishman wrote.
On October 21, Makhachev defended his UFC lightweight title for the second time. The Russian knocked out Australian Alexander Volkanovski in the first round.
In total, 32-year-old Makhachev had 26 fights in his career, in which he won 25 victories, losing only once. McGregor, 35, is a former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion. The Irishman has 28 fights, in which he won 22 victories and suffered six defeats. He has not entered the octagon since the summer of 2021.
