Russian fistfight athlete Kirill Sambros was found to have drugs
Russian athlete Kirill Sambros, who performs in the Hardcore Fighting promotion that organizes fist fights, was found to be in possession of drugs. Baza reports this on its Telegram channel.
A package containing an unknown substance was found in the belongings of the 25-year-old fighter. The examination showed that it was 0.97 grams of mephedrone. Now the athlete faces criminal charges for drug possession.
Sambros was detained in Moscow on November 2. He was traveling in a taxi, which was stopped by police officers. During the check, the athlete was nervous, so law enforcement decided to inspect him and found a package.
On November 1, it became known that the police had detained former Russian national team player Alexei Bugaev. He had a bag of drugs with him. A criminal case was opened against Bugaev under the article of drug trafficking on a large scale.
