Ngannou said he doesn’t know why Fury wasn’t deducted a point for an illegal move.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou explained his claims against the referees who judged his fight with Briton Tyson Fury. The athlete spoke out on a social network page X (former name of Twitter).
“I fought Fury, the judges and the referee who allowed Tyson to throw an illegal elbow. I watched the replay of that moment dozens of times, but I still don’t understand why they didn’t deduct a point from him,” Ngannou said.
On October 28, Fury defeated Ngannou in a heavyweight boxing bout in Saudi Arabia. The fight lasted all ten rounds, following which the judges gave Fury victory by split decision.
Ngannou has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts throughout his career. He held the UFC heavyweight championship.
Fury has 34 wins, one draw and no losses. He holds the World Boxing Council heavyweight championship belt.
