Lawyer Maklichenko: a complaint was filed after the arrest of ex-footballer Budaev
Lawyer Ekaterina Maklichenko, representing the interests of ex-player of the Russian national football team Alexei Bugaev, announced that she had filed a complaint after the football player was detained. She spoke about this in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
“All that is known today is that Alexei Bugaev had no drugs, he had no intention of selling them and did not try to hide from law enforcement officers. An appeal in the administrative case has been filed. All materials that will be available to us in the main criminal case will be subjected to the most thorough analysis on our part,” the defense lawyer said.
Earlier it became known that former Russian national team player Budaev was detained by police. According to media reports, the man had a package with a narcotic substance on him. A criminal case was opened against Bugaev under the article of drug trafficking on a large scale. In addition, as the United Press Service of the Krasnodar Territory Courts reports on Telegram, the Prikubansky District Court found Bugaev guilty of committing an administrative offense under Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Disobedience to a lawful order of a police officer”). He was sentenced to seven days of administrative arrest.
Bugaev is a graduate of Torpedo. During his career, the defender also played for Khimki near Moscow, Tomsk Tomsk and Krasnodar.
