Krylia Sovetov defender Fernando Costanza wanted to obtain Russian citizenship. His words are quoted by Sport24.
“Interesting topic. I would do it, no problem,” said the Brazilian footballer, who also has an Italian passport.
Costanza has been playing for the Samara club since January 2022. This season, he took part in ten matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL), in which he scored two goals and two assists.
Earlier it became known about the desire to obtain Russian citizenship by Serbian football player George Despotovic, who played for several RPL clubs. “He has a Russian wife and child. At the end of the year he will apply for citizenship,” said the athlete’s representative Yuri Gorbenko.
