Eteri Tutberidze spoke about Zagitova’s pause with the words “Should I force her?”
Russian figure skating coach Eteri Tutberidze spoke about the pause in the career of Olympic champion Alina Zagitova. Her words are quoted by the Telegram channel “Comment.Show”.
“Why should I force her to continue? She is tired. Well, in another mode she will not have such a result. Should I force her? – said Tutberidze, explaining that before the 2018 Olympic Games the athlete trained very intensely.
On July 17, Zagitova revealed the secret of championship in sports in one phrase. “Exercise and don’t drink!” – said the athlete, answering the question about what needs to be done to win.
Zagitova suspended her performances in December 2019. She works as a presenter in the television show “Ice Age” and studies at the Faculty of Journalism of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).
The athlete is an Olympic champion and silver medalist at the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang. She also has gold in the Russian, European and world championships.
