Fitness expert Ekaterina Ivanova spoke about proper breathing during training. Her words are quoted by Moskovsky Komsomolets.

The specialist stated that breathing should be smooth and calm, and advised inhaling through the nose. “In yoga, as you inhale, you need to perform exercises that open the thoracic region, and as you exhale, you round the back. In strength training, inhalation is done at the moment of muscle relaxation, exhalation – at the moment of tension. When doing push-ups, as you inhale, your arms straighten, and as you exhale, they bend,” she explained.

Ivanova emphasized that if you breathe incorrectly, fatigue occurs faster, and the body does not receive the required amount of oxygen, which can lead to headaches. “During the lesson, you need not only to breathe correctly, but also to listen to your body,”
she added.

Earlier, fitness expert Natalya Gorbunova talked about how to properly do cool-downs after a workout. She urged not to ignore the post-workout cool-down, as it allows your muscles to relax. According to her, this helps the body calm down, restore breathing and blood circulation.
