Barcelona coach Xavi refuses to blame referees for defeat to Real Madrid

The specialist refused to blame the referees for the unsuccessful result. He stated that the defeat was due to the fact that the team did not act effectively. “We played very well for 60 minutes, but we lost undeservedly,” the coach emphasized.

Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in the match of the 11th round of the Spanish Championship with a score of 2:1. In the sixth minute, host midfielder Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring. In the 68th minute the score was equalized by midfielder Jude Bellingham. On the second added he scored a double and brought victory to the team.

Thus, after 11 La Liga matches, Real is leading the standings with 28 points. Barcelona is in third place with 24 points.
