Columbus hockey player Voronkov got into a fight with a tough guy in his NHL debut match
Russian Columbus Blue Jackets forward Dmitry Voronkov got into a fight with Montreal Canadiens tough guy Arber Dzhekaj. The incident occurred during the first period of a regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The referee intervened in the episode and both players were sent off for five minutes. For hockey player Voronkov, this match was the first in the NHL.
Earlier, the Russian forward of Columbus provoked a mass brawl in a preseason match against the Buffalo Sabers. After the whistle at the end of the second period, the forward touched the opposing goalkeeper, after which he fell and a brawl began.
It became known in May that Ak Bars forward Voronkov would sign a contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League.
