The Russian national football team retained 39th place in the FIFA rankings
The Russian national team retained 39th place in the International Football Federation (FIFA) ranking. This is reported on the organization’s website.
There were no changes in the top five of the list of the best teams in the world. Argentina is in first place, France is in second place, and Brazil is in third place. England and Belgium are in fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
Since the publication of the last version of the rating in September, the Russians have played two friendly matches. Valery Karpin’s team beat Cameroon and tied with Kenya.
On February 28, 2022, FIFA and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) excluded Russian national teams and clubs from international tournaments. Teams do not compete in European competitions, and the Russian national team lost the opportunity to compete for access to the final part of the 2022 World Cup and does not participate in the Euro 2024 qualifications.
