The International Doping Testing Agency (ITA) has disqualified Russian weightlifter Oksana Slivenko. This was reported on the website of the organization.
Also, the measure will affect two more Russian athletes – Svetlana Shimkova and Rinat Kireev. The ITA statement emphasizes that the data on the detection of traces of anabolic steroids in the analyzes of weightlifters are based on the database of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory.
Slivenko is the 2008 Beijing Olympic champion. She performed in the category up to 69 kilograms. Slivenko’s results from March 2012 were canceled by the ITA decision. The athlete is disqualified for two years, the suspension period starts from March 1, 2021.
