The head of the WFHG Wiener called Vladimir Putin a democratic and loyal person
President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics (VFKhG) Irina Viner described Russian President Vladimir Putin in two words. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Wiener called Putin a democratic and loyal person. “He never dictates anything, that’s all,” she emphasized. The head of the WFHG added that the WFHG refused admission to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in a neutral status on its own, since the conditions for participation in the tournament were disgraceful.
On October 13, Wiener critically assessed the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to suspend the Russian Olympic Committee. She suggested that Russia be the first to refuse to participate in the Olympic Games.
On March 28, the IOC recommended that Belarusians and Russians who do not support the special operation in Ukraine be allowed to compete in neutral status. However, athletes associated with the armed forces or security forces of their countries are recommended not to be allowed to participate in tournaments.
