Enisey goalkeeper Evgeniy Staver was disqualified for attacking a ball-boy
The goalkeeper of the First League club “Yenisei” Evgeniy Staver was disqualified for three matches for attacking a ball boy after an away match against “Khimki”. The head of the control and disciplinary committee of the Russian Football Union (KDK RFU), Artur Grigoryants, told Match TV about this.
At the same time, the functionary admitted that the victim provoked the Russian goalkeeper throughout the game and did not perform his duties properly. For this, Khimki was fined 25 thousand rubles.
“They answered Staver that this is not an excuse, lynching cannot be exercised, and the football field is a place to play football,” added Grigoryants.
The incident occurred on October 14. During the match, Staver came into conflict several times with the ball boy, who served him balls for too long. After the final whistle, the goalkeeper tried to attack a Khimki representative, for which he received a red card.
