Ecuador and Colombia played to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday night in the 4th round of the South American qualifiers played at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium.

Previously, there were comments on social networks and in the media about the “concern” for coffee about leaving the capital stage defeated, and this because of what happened in November 2020, when La Tri smashed them 6-1.

Kafe journalists were not very satisfied with the point their team took, so they commented that the beating had a different context and that it would not happen again.

“They said we have to win 6-1 and I emphasize that this game will never happen again, we can play 100 games with Ecuador between now and the end of the year and not one of them ends 6-1,” said Carlos Antonio VĂ©lez, a journalist from Win Sports from Colombia.

“It (the match) was because they wanted to remove him (then coach Carlos Queiroz),” added the communicator in an energetic tone.

In this context, VĂ©lez commented that the European coach would tell three players from that team that he would no longer have them in the team.

“They wanted to remove him because he made a mistake in his strategy. “He told the two or three cats that were still in the selection that he was going to take them out,” he said.

“He shouldn’t have told them that, he just took them out. You cannot say to the enemy: I will attack you tonight,” added VĂ©lez ironically. (D)
