On Thursday, Dinamo Bukarest won 33:29 against Motor Zaporozhye in the 10th round of the handball Champions League. The even match, however, will be remembered mainly due to the amazing intervention of German Christian Dissinger.
A phenomenal intervention in an LM handball match. Six years ago, the player of Vive Kielce played a similar game
In the 42nd minute the players of Dinamo Bukareszt carried out an unsuccessful offensive action. Motor decided to introduce a quick counter to surprise the Romanians without a goalkeeper. Aidenas Malasinskas decided to throw in from behind the half, the ball went into the goal spot, and the action would have ended with a goal if it were not for the great intervention of Dissinger. The German jumped just in front of the goal line at the perfect moment and hit the ball.

Dissinger’s play was quite important as everything was happening with the minimal lead of Dinam. If the Lithuanian hit, Motor would have conceded just one goal. Ultimately, the Romanians kept their lead and took third victories in this year’s edition.
Despite this, the team is placed last in the group with a track record of six points. Motor Zaporozhye has two points more and is sixth (last place leading to play-offs). The leader of this group is with 14 points.
The phenomenal performance of Dissinger could remind Polish fans of the intervention of Tomasz RosiĆski from 2015 in Cologne. The then player of Vive Kielce, in an almost identical way, saved a throw from one of the players from THW Kiel. His defense, however, had a much greater weight in terms of genres, as it was in the match for third place of that edition of the Champions League. Ultimately Kielce won 28:26.
