The Real society detected this Wednesday afternoon a cyber attack in computer services, which has affected different servers in which the club stores identification and contact data of its subscribers, shareholders, RS Fan and RS Laguna. The condition includes names, surnames, ID numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, telephone numbers, and, in the case of subscribers, also bank account numbers in which the corresponding payments are charged.
In a statement sent by email to the affected subscribers and shareholders, the San Sebastian entity recommends “being cautious in the face of possible suspicious electronic communications”, in addition to reassuring the affected people, since “the exposed bank details only include the account number in the club makes the charges”, something that “will not involve conditions that, ultimately, could lead to possible financial losses”.
The club affirms that it has already launched all resources to resolve the incident, “adopting all the necessary technical and organizational measures”, thanks to which it has ensured the correct functioning of its systems. Furthermore, it highlights that the incident is now in the hands of the corresponding authorities, including the Data Protection Agency.
From the Anoeta offices, they have made an email address available to those affected, dpd@realsociedad.euswith whom you can contact if you require additional information.
