Koloskov called the draw an unworthy result. “The first half made a terrible impression. It felt like the teams were competing to see who could make the most mistakes. The football players were playing giveaway,” he said. Koloskov noted that the team did not prove itself.

The meeting between Russia and Kenya took place on October 16 in Antalya, Turkey and ended with a score of 2:2. Russian striker Alexander Sobolev was the first to hit the opponents’ goal in the eighth minute. Midfielder Anthony Akumu equalized in the 16th minute. In the 36th minute, the Kenyans were given the lead by forward Masoud Choka. In the 89th minute, midfielder Ivan Oblyakov snatched a draw for the Russian team.

Teams do not compete in European competitions, and the Russian national team was unable to compete for access to the final part of the 2022 World Cup.
