MMA fighter Kharitonov said that Emelianenko disgraces mixed martial arts
Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Sergei Kharitonov shared his opinion about Alexander Emelianenko. His words are quoted by Mma.metaratings.ru.
The athlete called his colleague a piece of drunken shit. “He let himself down and our sport down. I don’t care that he shows that he has reformed and sobered up. This is a disgrace to our sport, an alcoholic, a rapist, a criminal!” — said Kharitonov. In his opinion, people do not improve, and rehabilitation will not help Emelianenko.
On July 29, Emelianenko spoke about treatment for alcoholism. He remembered how he was hospitalized, but this did not help, as he liked this lifestyle. At the same time, his promoter emphasized that the treatment is currently helping the fighter.
41-year-old Emelianenko has 40 MMA fights, in which he won 29 victories and suffered ten defeats. Another fight with his participation ended in a draw.
