In 2010, Xbox users could start their adventure with Alan Wake. The game has been one of the niche thriller genres, and has often been called the “psychological thriller”. In it we play the role of the titular Alan Wake, whose wife was kidnapped in a small town in Washington state. Our task was to find her and solve the mystery related to her disappearance.

Alan Wake was sensationally assessed by both critics and players. Both groups emphasized that it presents an attractive, unprecedented entertainment, which appropriately draws from the genres of thriller and horror. No wonder that many people wanted a sequel, especially as the game itself has an open ending.
After many years, the developers from Remedy Entertainment listened to the fans and officially announced Alan Wake 2 at The Game Awards 2021. This time, however, the game is to be a survival horror game and contain much less shooting. A short preview can be seen below.
Alan Wake 2 will appear on PC on the Epic Games platform. It will also be released on the latest generation consoles, ie PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. The premiere is planned for 2023, while more details about the production are to be known next summer.
