Russian figure skater Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva spoke in an interview with the Okko Sport YouTube channel about her struggle with an eating disorder.
The athlete stated that she had been restricted in her diet since childhood. “I was told that I have bad heredity, that at the age of 12 I would be the size of my mother. My mother is a large woman. She got scared and stopped feeding me,” she recalled. Khudaiberdieva added that it was difficult for her to cope with the problem that arose due to poor nutrition.
Khudaiberdieva performs in ice dancing together with Yegor Bazin. The couple are Russian champions in 2023, as well as bronze medalists in the 2022 tournament.
