Kostomarov spoke about the motorcycle he sold for a prosthesis

Kostomarov said that he sold his Yamaha motorcycle to buy a prosthetic arm

Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov spoke about purchasing a prosthetic arm. His words are reported by RIA Novosti.

“These are expensive toys. “I sold a Japanese Yamaha motorcycle for the sake of this miracle technology, a sportbike is worth my arm,” said the skater.

Earlier, Kostomarov said that he hoped to skate on the ice. “We need to pick up more boots, skates and somehow adapt to the current prosthesis, since without an ankle, figure skating is quite problematic,” he explained.

Kostomarov was hospitalized on January 10 with pneumonia and influenza B. Due to prolonged connection to a blood oxygenation machine and a ventilator, his tissue began to die. Doctors amputated both feet of the skater, then the shins of both legs, the entire hand of his right hand and several fingers of his left.
