Matytsin called the admission of Russians to the 2024 Paralympics the only right decision
Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin commented on the admission of Russian Paralympians to the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“This suggests that we not only have international authority, but also work is underway inside Russia,” Matytsin said. He also called the decision to allow the team to participate in the tournament the only correct one.
On September 29, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) announced the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Games in Paris. Individual athletes will be able to take part in the tournament in a neutral status.
In 2022, the IPC did not allow Russian athletes to compete at the Beijing Games. Initially, they were allowed to perform in a neutral status, but then the decision was changed.
