UFC fighter Green accused Makhachev and Nurmagomedov of cheating with doping
American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Bobby Green accused Russians Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov of doping fraud. His words are available on the Jaxxon Podcast YouTube channel.
According to Green, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is holding Makhachev’s fights in Abu Dhabi because the Russians are cheating. “Nurmagomedov and Makhachev visit the mosque, they train there, but other people cannot enter there. Even officers from the American Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). It allows them to do whatever they want,” he said.
In February 2022, Green and Makhachev fought at the UFC Vegas 49 tournament. The Russian won, knocking out his opponent in the first round. A few months later, USADA suspended Green for six months after anabolic steroids were detected in his out-of-competition doping test.
Makhachev is the current UFC lightweight champion. In total, the Russian fought 25 fights in his career, in which he won 24 victories and suffered one defeat.
