Mexican midfielder of Dynamo Moscow Luis Chavez assessed the level of Russian football. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“The Russian and Mexican leagues are different in style, there is more emphasis on physics. But overall the level in the Russian Premier League (RPL) is very good,” he said. The legionnaire added that he is gradually adapting to everything and feels better in the team.
27-year-old Chavez joined the blue and white squad in August 2023. He played seven matches for the team in all tournaments and scored an assist.
Earlier, Krasnodar striker Olakunle Olusegun compared the Russian championship with the European ones. “It seems to me that the European championships and the Russian ones are not particularly different. You can develop both here and there,” he said.
