Dominik Hasek said that hockey player Nikita Zadorov’s words about Russia are superficial
Olympic champion, two-time Stanley Cup winner Dominik Hasek on social networks X criticized the words of the player of the National Hockey League (NHL) club “Calgary Flames” Nikita Zadorov.
“It’s not enough for me when a person simply knows how to perform, to play to the public,” Hasek said.
He expressed his opinion about Zadorov’s words after the Polish airline refused to allow the Russian rapper Ligalize, whose real name is Andrey Menshikov, onto the flight.
“Just for comparison, read the words of an NHL hockey player (Zadorov) – how superficial they are compared to this rapper,” Hasek explained.
On September 22, Zadorov said that he may not return to Russia after criticism. He noted that it was important to him that people knew his point of view and that they were not afraid to speak out.
Hasek is known for criticizing Russian athletes. He called for the removal of Russians from all international tournaments. In particular, the Czech proposed suspending the contracts of Russian players in the NHL, and later called on the league leaders to resign because of their position on Russia.
