Sochi beat SKA 5:4 and interrupted the army team’s four-game winning streak in the KHL

The meeting ended with a score of 5:4 in favor of the hosts. Matvey Michkov, Amir Garayev (double), Nikita Feoktistov and Kirill Rasskazov scored for the Sochi team. The army team scored goals from Arseniy Gritsyuk (double), Vasily Glotov and Alex Galchenyuk. Thus, Sochi interrupted SKA’s four-game winning streak.
In a parallel match, Dynamo Moscow beat Kunlun Red Star, CSKA defeated Vityaz, and Lokomotiv turned out to be stronger than Spartak. Earlier, Dynamo Minsk beat Barys 3:0.
The current winner of the Gagarin Cup is Moscow CSKA. In the 2022/2023 season, the team won the trophy for the third time. The capital club defeated Kazan Ak Bars in a series of up to four wins with a score of 4:3. Previously, the army team won the KHL in the 2018/2019 and 2021/2022 seasons.
