Kaprizov, Shesterkin and Vasilevsky were in the top 20 best active NHL players
Three Russians made it into the top 20 best active players in the National Hockey League (NHL). The rating was published on the NHL Network page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
New York Rangers goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin took 18th place on the list, Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov was 17th, and Tampa Bay Lightning goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevsky was 14th.
Earlier, the NHL published the names of athletes who took places in the top 30 of the rating. Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin took 30th position. He currently ranks second on the list of best snipers in NHL history behind Canadian Wayne Gretzky.
26-year-old Kaprizov has been playing in the NHL since 2020. Shesterkin, 27, has been playing in the league since 2019, and Vasilevsky, 29, since 2014. Together with Tampa, the Russian won the Stanley Cup twice.
