Roglic beats Pogacar in the Giro dell’Emilia

Primoz RoglicSlovenian rider of the Jumbo-Visma team, a team in which he will not continue next season, won the victory in the 106th Giro dell’Emilia, a 204.1 kilometer test that ran between Carpi and San Luca, beating his compatriot Tadej Pogacar.
Roglic reached the final kilometer with a group of six other runners and attacked with 200 meters to go leaving behind his rivals, among whom were also Pogacar and the british Adam Yates, which was third; other favorites like Spanish Enric Mas or the Ecuadorian Olympic champion Richard Carapaz. It was the culmination of a series of attempted attacks between the leaders, who grouped together less than ten kilometers before the finish.
In this way, Roglic achieves his third victory in this race after having previously managed to win it in the 2019 and in the 2021 and he succeeds Enric Mas, the only Spaniard to win the final victory along with Iván Gutiérrez in 2003.
