Dzagoev said that former CSKA player Tosic persuaded him to move to Lamia

Russian midfielder Alan Dzagoev explained the decision to move to the Greek club PAS Lamia 1964. His words are quoted by “Championship”.

The footballer said that what primarily persuaded him to transfer was the fact that former CSKA Moscow player Zoran Tosic plays for the club. “He said that the club is from a comfortable small town, there is everything for football – in general, he responded very positively,” Dzagoev noted. He added that the coach seemed understanding.

Dzagoev’s transfer to the Greek club PAS Lamia 1964 became known on September 28. The contract with the 33-year-old football player runs until June 2024. He joined the club as a free agent.

From 2008 to 2022, Dzagoev played for CSKA Moscow. He played 397 matches for the army team, in which he scored 77 goals and made 93 assists. As part of CSKA, the midfielder became a three-time Russian champion, and also won four Russian Cups and three national Super Cups.
