Isinbayeva’s charitable foundation called the information about the closure untrue
The charity foundation of two-time Olympic pole vault champion Elena Isinbayeva commented on the information about the closure. TASS reports this.
“The fact that the fund has closed is not true. Charitable donations stopped for some time, and this happened with the pandemic. We don’t have any projects yet because there was no budget,” said representatives of the organization.
Earlier, on September 28, information appeared that Isinbayeva had suspended the work of the fund. An organization registered in Volgograd is listed as operating in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, but does not carry out financial transactions. The last event was held in January 2022. The fund’s website redirects to the bookmaker’s page.
On July 12, El Digital Sur reported that the former athlete lives in Tenerife. In addition, it was noted that Isinbayeva has the rank of major in the Russian Armed Forces. Later, on her VKontakte page, the Russian woman wrote that her awards and military rank from the CSKA sports society are nominal.
