Francis Lafargue, historic public relations in the world of cycling, dies

Francis Lafargue (Biarritz, 1955) historical public relations of teams multitude of cycling teams for more than two decades, died this Thursday at his home in Urruña (Lapurdi) at the age of 69, according to the team. Ken Pharmaa structure with which it has collaborated for four years.

Lafargue worked as public relations in teams Reynolds, Banesto (being the eternal companion of Miguel Indurain), Caisse d’Épargneas well as in Movistar. He also collaborated with the squad Euskadi-Murias directed by Jon Odriozola.
The Movistar team has published a note to express its condolences, which highlights that the Biarritz player was “support of the Abarca structure since the 1983 Tour […] and a staff professional from 1988 to 2011, Francis was a collaborator, manager, translator, confidant.
