Alexey Popov called Rashid Rakhimov an unsuitable coach for Rubin
Former Rubin footballer Alexey Popov appreciated the work of the head coach of the Kazan team, Rashid Rakhimov. ODDS.ru reports this.
The player called the specialist a qualified coach, but noted that he was not suitable for Rubin. “His team should not be relegated from the RPL, at least. But this trainer is not suitable for large tasks. Denis Boyarintsev is performing well in the First League. I think he would suit Rubin,” Popov noted.
The ex-footballer also made a forecast for the match of the 10th round of the RPL. in which Rubin will meet with Krasnodar on September 30. “Krasnodar will control the ball and try to make sure that Rubin does not create a single chance at their goal. Therefore, it will be a difficult, sticky game with a minimum of chances up to 1:0 or 2:0 in favor of the “bulls,” Popov said.
Rakhimov took charge of Rubin on April 12 of this year. After nine rounds, his team is in 12th place in the RPL with nine points.
