Tarkhanov said if Khimki loses to 2DROTS, it will be a shame for the First League
Former Khimki coach Alexander Tarkhanov assessed the team’s chances of winning over the 2DROTS media club in the 1/32 finals of the Russian Football Cup. His words are quoted by ODDS.ru.
“Khimki shouldn’t lose because they play in the First League. I still believe in them. And if they lose, it will be a shame for the league,” Tarkhanov said. He added that he would not like “a continuation of the 2DROTS fairy tale” in the Russian Cup.
Khimki will play against 2DROTS on September 28. The meeting will take place at the Moskvich stadium and will begin at 13:30 Moscow time. Earlier in the tournament, the media club beat Sakhalin, Murom and Dynamo Kirov from the Second League.
