The RFU said that it has allocated five million rubles to Slutsky’s school over two years.
The communications service of the Russian Football Union (RFU) responded to the words of Russian coach Leonid Slutsky about the refusal to allocate money to his children’s school. The organization’s statement is given by the “Championship”.
“Over the past two seasons, the RFU has paid the Slutsky school expenses in the amount of 5 million rubles for participation in the Youth Football League South,” the RFU said.
Earlier, Slutsky, commenting on the fine and suspension for insulting a journalist, announced the lack of financial support for his school from the RFU. “It’s just that the Russian Football Union has never given a single penny for the school, for example, for its maintenance. But they decided to take 100 thousand from me so that they could get a little less,” he added.
On August 14, the RFU Ethics Committee decided that Slutsky’s behavior on the air of the “Comment.Show” program on August 14 did not meet the requirements of article eight of the RFU ethics regulations. Slutsky was ordered to pay a fine of 100 thousand rubles, and was also banned from carrying out any football-related activities for a one-year suspended sentence.
