Nichushkin said that he did not want to talk about the incident with the drunk girl in the room
Russian forward of the National Hockey League (NHL) Colorado Avalanche club Valery Nichushkin spoke for the first time about the incident with a drunk girl in his hotel room. Denver Sports reports.
According to the striker, his departure from the team during the last playoffs was due to family reasons. “I know you guys want to find something, but there’s nothing particularly interesting there. Now the new season is starting, we must focus on this. Let’s close this topic, I don’t want to talk about it,” Nichushkin said.
On June 2, the Seattle Police Department published video from the hotel where the incident involving Nichushkin allegedly occurred. On April 28, The Denver Post reported that a girl was found in a heavily intoxicated state in the hockey player’s hotel room. She called herself Russian, but said that she was born in Ukraine. It was noted that there is no criminal investigation underway.
On April 25, Nichushkin left the Colorado team due to an “alcohol incident.” Later the team denied this information.
