Coach Karpov recommended Bulgarian split squats for pumping muscles
Fitness trainer Alexander Karpov named the most effective squat options for pumping muscles. His words are quoted by Sport Express.
The specialist noted the benefits of squats with a box jump, with a fitness band or with additional weight (dumbbells, barbell or empty bar for beginners). In addition, Karpov recommended Bulgarian split squats, in which one leg is pulled back and the toe rests on the bench, and squats using a Smith machine in the gym.
At the same time, the trainer noted that before starting classes, it is necessary to consult a doctor and clarify whether there are any contraindications to performing squats. “If you feel discomfort during the exercise, chances are you’re either doing it incorrectly, using too much weight, not warming up enough, or all three,” he added.
Previously, coach Vlada Uvarova named the best exercises for pumping up the buttocks at home. She suggested doing backward lunges, Bulgarian squats, step-ups, and single-leg Romanian deadlifts.
