Ex-UFC fighter agreed with McGregor and refused to consider Nurmagomedov great

Former American mixed martial artist (MMA) Chale Sonnen commented on Conor McGregor’s criticism of Khabib Nurmagomedov. The fighter’s words are available on his YouTube channel.

“Khabib is the most dominant fighter that ever existed,” Sonnen said. At the same time, he stressed that he did not consider the Russian to be truly great. The ex-fighter noted that he fully agrees with McGregor’s arguments in this regard.

Earlier, the Irishman refused to recognize Nurmagomedov as a great fighter. According to McGregor, the Russian does not own kicks and rarely ends fights with a knockout. He also noted that Nurmagomedov had problems with the weight race, but never tried to compete in other weight categories in the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC).

Nurmagomedov is a former UFC lightweight champion. He defended the belt three times, being stronger than McGregor, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gage.

McGregor became the UFC champion in two weight classes. Sonnen is known for his performances in the UFC, in the past he participated in title fights three times, but lost in each of them.
