SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg said that the club is already progressing in the season
Head coach of St. Petersburg SKA Roman Rotenberg commented on the club’s fourth consecutive defeat in the regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). His words are quoted on the official website of the organization.
“There are no complaints about dedication. There are questions regarding discipline, because we have a lot of deletions. <...> This is the start we have this season. That season had a better start, this season it was a different start. But the finish will be better,” the specialist said. He added that at the moment the team is finding its game and is already progressing.
On September 15, the club lost to Dynamo Moscow with a score of 1:3. Previously, SKA lost to Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo (3:4), Yaroslavl Lokomotiv (2:3) and Moscow Spartak (0:3). In six meetings since the beginning of the 2023/2024 season, hockey players from St. Petersburg also won two victories: over Lada Tolyatti (3:0) and Dynamo Moscow in the opening match (2:1).
Next, SKA will play at home against Siberia on September 17. The match will start at 17:00 Moscow time.
