Tampa’s Russian player Mikhail Sergachev admitted receiving a US passport
Russian defender of the National Hockey League (NHL) Tampa Bay Lightning club Mikhail Sergachev answered a question about obtaining a US passport. His words are quoted by Forbes.
The player allowed such a development of events. “This is actually a good topic, because I have already paid so much taxes, will I ever have any privileges? Because I pay taxes and get nothing from it. If you think about it, my taxes are almost 40 percent. Of mine, almost $8.5 million,” he shared.
Sergachev has played in the NHL since 2016 and is a two-time Stanley Cup winner with Tampa. In addition to Tampa, the defender played for the Montreal Canadiens.
