The Russian national freestyle team in the half-pipe discipline will miss the World Cup stages in the USA and Canada. This was stated by the press service of the Russian Freestyle Federation (FFR).
The team issued visas, but was refused entry with certificates of vaccination with Russian drugs. Due to coronavirus restrictions, only athletes vaccinated with vaccines recognized by the World Health Organization can cross the border.
“The organizers of the World Cups did not meet halfway. In this regard, the national half-pipe team was forced to surrender tickets and return to the regions for home training, ”said FFR President Alexei Kurashov.
Earlier, Russian biathletes were refused admission to the stadium in Austria. Eduard Latypov and Vasily Tomshin could not get to training in Hochfiltsin because of the forgotten phones with the results of PCR tests.
